Website development

The front door, built so the enquiry doesn't die on the step.

Most small business websites aren't ugly. They're slow, they don't say what the business actually does, and the enquiry lands somewhere nobody's watching.

What’s included

  • A fast site that reads as a real business on a phone, because that's where it'll be opened
  • Correct titles, structure and metadata, so search engines can actually read it
  • Your Google Business Profile filled in properly — which for a local services business matters more than the site
  • Enquiry forms that route somewhere accountable, with an automatic acknowledgement
  • Quote-request and booking flows that feed the automation behind them
  • Search Console connected before launch, so you can see what's happening rather than guess
  • Hosting, and keeping the thing alive and patched

Search-ready, not search marketing

This distinction matters and it’s worth being exact about, because plenty of people will read the first column and hear the second.

What we do

  • Build a site that search engines can read and rank
  • Fill in your Google Business Profile properly
  • Get the page structure, titles and metadata right
  • Make the pages load fast on a phone on mobile data
  • Connect Search Console so the data exists

What we don’t

  • Promise rankings, traffic or a number of enquiries
  • Run ongoing SEO campaigns or monthly ranking reports
  • Publish content month after month to chase keywords
  • Buy ads to send people to it
  • Manage your social media

The short version: we build it so it can be found. Getting people to look is a different job, and we don’t do that one.

If what you need is more people arriving, you want a marketing agency and we’ll happily say so on the call rather than take the work and quietly underdeliver.

We don’t sell websites on their own

A website with nothing behind it is a brochure, and there are hundreds of people who’ll build you one for less than we would. We’d rather tell you that than compete on it.

Where a site earns its money is as the front of a pipeline— stages 01 and 02. The form is the web part. What happens in the ninety seconds after someone submits it — where it routes, who gets notified, what reply goes out, what gets logged — is the automation part, and it’s where the enquiries are actually being lost.

One honest exception: if you’re already a client and your site needs rebuilding, we’ll just do it. That’s not a different conversation.

Half the time, you don’t need a new one

A good number of the businesses we look at have a site that’s perfectly serviceable and three fixable problems: it takes six seconds to load, it doesn’t say plainly what they do, and the enquiry form goes to an address nobody reads.

That’s a much smaller job than a rebuild, and we’ll tell you which one you’re looking at before you spend anything. Recommending the cheaper option is not a sales tactic — it’s just usually the right answer.

What it costs

Fixed price, agreed in writing before anything starts, with a set number of revision rounds and a note of what’s not included.

We don’t publish a figure, because “a website” covers everything from tidying up three pages to building something with booking flows wired into your job management system. On the free call you’ll get a range immediately and a fixed number shortly after.

No charge and no pitch. If we’re not the right people for the problem, we’ll tell you and point you somewhere better.

30 minuteson the phone or a video call, whichever suits

You tell us what’s slow or manual. We ask the questions we’d ask any new client. By the end you’ll know whether we can help, roughly what it would involve, and what it would cost.

We work evenings and weekends, so there are a limited number of slots each week. Trades tend to ring rather than book — info@nullnil.net works just as well.
